| Mårten Oct 14 09:25:02am I don't mind them using a really big Darth Maul (much like a huge Darth Vader helmet up in the sky/space on some of the classic posters), as long as the don't make him the protagonist like they did here … but the problem isn't just what's in the poster and how it's presented, the problem is that this poster looks like it's been made by some technician making a poster for the local Star Wars-whatever at a museum or theme park … it's absolutely devoid of any artistic feeling whatsoever. Horrible! I will say though, that the marching orders were clearly to try and focus on getting things to look 3D what with the two pod racers and the lightsaber coming out of the artwork like this … but then you have to ask yourself why Kenobis lightsaber isn't 3D as well … and so on … |

Just make an Internet Contest and let the fans design the poster, they will even do it for free. How many fans do incredible artwork every single day for Star Wars that would LOVE to have their artwork as the official poster. But... This. |
