I think you will find that the poster was designed with the two of them in mind to be against the wall. The problem with film posters is edges get cropped and stars don't like being cut up. (I would not imagine 'Monsier Jimmy' would like his shoes chopped either). The bullet holes? Added because one on its own may not have been so easily seen.

obviously the poster is eye candy, two of the sexiest people on earth is bound to draw eyes. but i think that the bullet holes are over done. only one is necessary per poster. perhaps just on the i in 'smith'? other than that. very nice.

It's a given that the two individual shots look much better... that being said, this wouldn't look so startling bad if they had only stood back to back... or maybe even if they had simply been leaning against the actual edge of the poster, like their individual sheets, instead of 2 inches away from it.
