Seth Nov 12 04:19:00pm I agree with the comments that the bold type does not work well with the image.
Keanu Reeves of the Sing-Along Party Sep 11 04:13:25pm I don't know if this is a nice photo or just a decent poster.
dmc Sep 05 09:53:49pm Definitely digging this. Great usage of multiple planes. Great usage of color and perspective. Even like John Hawkes looming in the background out-of-focus. A welcome design away from from the QR code one sheets. And I agree about the quote, looks almost she's about to snort it. Great poster!
Yel Yint Sep 03 03:53:39am Best poster so far for 2011!!!
daniel Sep 02 03:18:43pm Besides the annoying quote I really love this poster and the type works fine but I can just speak for myself. Good work Empire Design, thumbs up!
Robert Sep 02 09:48:53am "Hand-written" doesn't have to mean thin. Brush strokes, calligraphy, etc. You can have legible type without going the tired studio route of knock-you-over-the-head bold face. Besides, the image is arresting enough to draw the viewer in, the type doesn't have to work as hard.
Design Junkie Sep 02 06:48:34am I disagree Robert, the type needs to be simple and bold so it's nice and legible and doesn't get lost into the image like hand drawn type would. In my opinion the type and image compliment each other beautifully here. A happy balance, which is what all good communication should have.
Pire Sep 01 11:20:03pm Someone should airbrush the distracting quote out. Otherwise, perfect.
don diesel von weasel Sep 01 08:30:03pm that's a damn nice poster.
zapato Sep 01 07:58:10pm this is great!
Pomadeitor Sep 01 05:53:29pm Wow! Maybe one of the top 5 of the year. beautiful!
Robert Sep 01 05:19:43pm I'd say this superimposed image does a nice job of conveying the restlessness, nervous energy, and the overall tension portrayed in the trailer. The sun-kissed palette gives it an appropriately hazy, dream-like look. I'm less pleased with the type, though. When will studies just let a good image breathe? The quote is annoying me with it's central placement - it's just not that important. The typeface for the title doesn't match the image, something hand-written would have worked much better. Even better, two different people's handwriting to emphasize the duality of her cult life and her normal life.
