I'm going to have to agree with dmc, here. With a name like Texas Killing Fields, the poster is going to have to work harder to convince me it's not a horror movie. Right now, I'm still getting the horror movie vibe with the dark-and-stormy landscape. The character photos at top aren't relating to each other or to the landscape below in a way that tells me anything about the plot.

Nice photograph, but the whole thing feels like a haphazard amateurish poster, possibly for a straight-to-video release. The title font is too safe for a police thriller. Kudos for lining the faces up with the appropriate star.

Always a brave move to cover 90% of the poster with a landscape, especially with a police/thriller film. They pulled it off quite well here, good stuff.
