Many of the best posters tell us a story with their design. Some are quite complicated (like our pick from 2009) while others can be deceptively simple (like our pick from 2006). Here we have a very simple image of a man at the beach. From the title we can tell that the two girls by the water must be his daughters. But their distance from him and the fact that they are slightly out of focus makes it seem as if he is losing them. The serious expression on his face adds to the feeling that things aren't right with his family. The basic plot and tone of the film captured perfectly with a single image.
