Mel Feb 22 03:46:07pm You have never modeled anything in 3D if you think putting this much detail into a 3D model and adding bad ass flames like that is lazy.
Zack Jan 15 10:32:49pm Leilu2k:
They aren't being lazy. They are following the covers of the books and not losing continuity.
Anyways, its a teaser poster. And a beautiful one that continues and sets a tradition for the films.
PolloLoco Jan 15 04:40:33pm If you look really close you can see the naked woman in the flames.
Chris Jan 15 12:52:16pm I think this perfectly fine for a teaser poster. You recognize the brand immedietly, and it is a *tribute* to the books fans..I'm clever I know. My hope, however; is that the upcoming campaign will me much more diverse than the first film. A saga of posters all with the same color scheme is going to get boring fairly quick. Also, something more conceptual than Katniss' huge face would be pleasing; as beautiful as J Law is.
Leilu2k Jan 15 10:05:54am Zack:
I *have* read all three books. Replicating the logo in the poster for the first movie was a nice gesture for the fans of the original book. Doing basically the same thing for the second movie is just lazy.
As an aside: That is a great tagline.
Hmmm... Jan 15 05:49:07am The fact that the book covers were all similar was stupid, too, Zack. This is an adaptation, not a replication of every single word and image. It wouldn't kill them to take a little artistic liberty with the color or composition.
Linnea Jan 15 04:23:32am I think it's wonderful. And I love the fact that it pays tribute to the book covers, any other teaser wouldn't feel right.
Zack Jan 14 10:09:58pm Have you guys EVER seen the books' covers? They all feature the mockingjay--a crucial symbol in the series--in different forms. What the poster from the last film and the poster for this one is doing is replicating the book covers.
For example, for the first book and film, the cover/poster featured a mockingjay with an arrow in its mouth.
In the second one (THIS ONE), the cover centers around the mockingjay in front of a clock-like shape (which foreshadows the plot in the book). You should have realized by now that the posters are replicating each book cover.
ScratStitch Jan 14 06:48:01pm That's...the same as the first film's poster.
bowser Jan 14 05:13:02pm is it just me or is this the exact same poster as the first movie, just with a little rotation of the symbol and a new tagline?
super weak
Koen jespers Jan 14 03:38:35pm Actually better then the first movie's teaser poster!! The fire looks a mot more real and i love the colorscheme in this!! Love it!
Zack Jan 14 02:44:57pm AWESOME teaser! I love how they are using the same design from the first film but using the second book's symbol. Can't wait!!
