The part I like about horror movies in terms of movie posters is that if it gives that vibe in which you wonder something is beyond to be explored throughout those posters. Nowadays horror movie posters just tried to show fear in giving an idea that this indeed is a horror movie. For these picks, I find the ones that give you a tremendous feeling that feels like you're in that wild place despite the unknown. I'd like to point out some posters from these titles: The Empty Man: despite only giving us a title and a man standing beneath the lines of the letter because the marketing for the film felt rushed despite the pandemic, you don't pretty much know what to expect than just a logo or what the tagline says. But during the release here in Indonesia, they simplify the title with credits beneath the title that gives the vibe of the night felt in the black background as the title frightens up with the tagline. Knowing that this isn't any kind of horror film you'll walk in through the night. It upsets me though despite the lack of this film. Fantasy Island: not a favorite, not everyone's favorite, we all agree. But the teaser poster, in which I'll never see in theatres. It's hard to unsee how the island represents a person screaming in terror. It's much better than the poster we have now which already gives away the dread people feel when entering island as told by the skull from top to bottom, but it is art anyways. The Rental: Dave Franco's directorial debut with a sensational feel to the poster. Seeing that it's all upside down with the house and a person falling with the night and light tuning, it gives you that comfort that you're going into the unknown. For other posters, I pick them as an idea of what kind of horror posters that chills me. Check out Chernobyl Diaries and Day of the Dead: Bloodline for example.

I picked attention grabbing posters, not necessarily 'scary'. I particularly enjoy FREAKY
