Three new posters from LatinoReview.
First of all we have My Boss's Daughter starring Ashton Kutcher,
Tara Reid, Terence Stamp, and Molly Shannon. Way too airbrushed for my
liking. Stamp looks fine but the other two look like mannequins. Then we
have two character posters for Looney Tunes: Back in Action featuring
Heather Locklear and Steve Martin.

Some posters for a few films finally coming to US screens.
From New Zealand we have the beautiful poster for Whale Rider. At
first glance you might not even notice the Maori tattoos superimposed on
the girl's face. From Argentina comes Valentin and from the UK comes
The
Magdalene Sisters.
From Empire
Movies comes the teaser for Elf starring Will Farrell and James
Caan. Catching up on a few other recent posters, we have the final poster
for The League of Extraodinary Gentlemen as well the one sheet for
Marooned
in Iraq.

From Poster
Image Archive comes two new posters. First there is the rather funny
looking poster for I'll Be There starring Charlotte Church. Next
comes Matchstick Men starring Nicolas Cage and Sam Rockwell. It
has a cute tag line ("Lie, cheat, steal, rinse, repeat") but is otherwise
a fairly meaningless poster. Then, from Joblo.com,
comes the latest, and easily the greatest, poster for Finding Nemo.
They do a great job of filling the poster with all the animated characters
in a meaningful way and not making it cluttered. Quite wonderful.

A couple new additions. First of all, from Poster
Image Archive comes the one sheet for the Australian film The Hard
Word starring Guy Pearce and Rachel Griffiths. Also, we have a small
image of the poster for the horse-racing drama Seabiscuit starring
Tobey Maguire, Jeff Bridges, and Chris Cooper.

From Dark Horizons
comes the poster for Love's Brother starring Giovanni Ribisi as
well as another teaser for The Cat in the Hat and another Finding
Nemo poster. Meanwhile, from Joblo.com
comes the artwork for 4 character posters from Pirates of the Caribbean:
The Curse of the Black Pearl.
Next, we have another new poster from LatinoReview.
This time it is a first look at the teaser for Spy Kids 3D: Game Over
featuring the regular cast along with Rambo and Khan... err, I mean Sylvester
Stallone and Ricardo Montalban. Also, from MovieMeter
comes the poster for Peter Greenaway's latest, The Tulse Luper Suitcases.
From Empire
Movies comes the poster for Rugrats Go Wild. Other new additions
include the third poster for Legally Blonde 2, Dogville,
and the French hit L'Auberge Espagnole.
Thursday, May 8th, 2003
From the official
site comes the second one sheet for the Mandy Moore film How to
Deal. A slight improvement over the previous poster design, but...
Well, I suppose it is typical of "modern day romance" - no smiles, just
a whole lot of attitude.
Wednesday, May 7th, 2003
From Joblo.com comes
what might be the artwork for the latest poster for Underworld.
Meanwhile, Empire
Movies has the creepy poster for the Hong Kong film The Eye.
Tuesday, May 6th, 2003
Looks like another studio wants fans to vote on their
poster design. This time it is for Uptown Girls, starring Brittany
Murphy and Dakota Fanning. Just click on either of the images on the right
to go to the site and vote. The two posters aren't dramatically different,
but my choice would be the first one. I like the realistic cityline better
and the girl's expression seems more appropriate.
From the official
website comes the rather straight-forward but nice looking poster for
The
Chester Story starring Teri Hatcher, Robert Treveiler, and Andrea Powell.

From mnrauctions
we find a photo of the poster for Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. Hopefully
we will get a better quality scan of the poster soon. [NOTE: This has been
since updated with a high quality scan from the official
site.]

From Empire
Movies comes the poster for the romantic comedy Alex & Emma
starring Kate Hudson and Luke Wilson. The concept for the movie is interesting
(writer hires a woman to type up his latest work in progress and real life
begins to imitate art, they fall in love) but there seems to be something
wrong with this poster. Perhaps it's just the look on Kate Hudson's face.
The idea of having their fictional equivalents in the oversized moon is
great, but overall it just doesn't seem to gel.
Meanwhile, for those of you not scared away by the first
four movies, we also have the poster for the frightening horror film Pokemon
Heroes.

From UIP Netherlands
comes the international poster for Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas.
Meanwhile, Poster Image Archive
has the poster artwork for Le Divorce, the latest Merchant-Ivory
film starring the likes of Kate Hudson, Glenn Close, and Leslie Caron.
Yes, the IMP has finally crawled out of his cavern to announce
the winners of the 2002 Internet Movie Poster Awards. Check them out and
send the IMP your comments.
From Dark Horizons
comes a first look at the poster for Clint Eastwood's latest directing
effort, Mystic River starring Sean Penn, Tim Robbins, Kevin Bacon,
Laurence Fishburne, Marcia Gay Harden, and Laura Linney. A very nice looking
poster. See if you can match up the stars with the three silhouettes in
the reflection of the river.
Friday, April 25th, 2003
From LatinoReview
comes the latest movie poster for Scary Movie 3. This time, they
are spoofing the teaser poster for Catch
Me If You Can.
Wednesday, April 23rd, 2003
From the official
site comes 5 new posters for The Matrix: Reloaded (two of which
showed up a couple weeks ago). My favorite is the one with a million Agent
Smiths. Also, from Joblo.com comes the
poster for Wrong Turn.
Friday, April 18th, 2003
From the official
site comes the teaser poster for Angelina Jolie in the movie with the
never-ending title: Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life.
Is it just me or does Jolie seem to be completely computer generated in
this poster? Does this mean that we can expect the script (like it seemed
to be in the first film) to be computer generated as well?
Thursday, April 17th, 2003
From SUPERPOSTERS
comes the funny poster for the theatrical remake of the 1976 Jodie Foster
film Freaky Friday. This one stars Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis
- who looks very freaky indeed. Also, we have the poster for The Shape
of Things, Neil LaBute's latest film.
From UIP-Netherlands
comes the latest poster for the annoyingly titled 2 Fast 2 Furious.
Nothing too new here, with this poster just combining the earlier character
posters and then adding a few cars. Some serious attitute on those faces...
Wednesday, April 16th, 2003
From LatinoReview
comes the poster for Jeepers Creepers 2 - surely an early nominee
for next year's creepiest poster. And then we have the poster for the R&B
documentary Only the Strong Survive.
Tuesday, April 15th, 2003
From Poster
Image Archive we have the one sheet for the new Harrison Ford / Josh
Hartnett film Hollywood Homicide. A pretty simplistic poster, with
the stars plopped in front of a fake background. Let's hope this isn't
the final poster. Looks more like a cover you'd see on the bottom shelf
of the video store. Josh Hartnett should feel honored though, not many
actors get to share poster space with Harrison Ford.
In other news, Coming
Soon.net has the "world premiere" exclusive of the Underworld
poster we have had for the last two weeks.
Finally, The IMP is looking for help tracking down a decent
scan of the altered version of the What a Girl Wants poster with
the missing peace sign. If you've got one, please
send it along and the IMP will be most happy.
Monday, April 14th, 2003
From Empire
Movies comes the final poster for Legally Blonde 2: Red White &
Blonde and from LatinoReviewcomes
what is supposedly the latest poster for X-Men 2. The dimensions
are a little off but for now we'll assume that it is legitimate.
Saturday, April 12th, 2003
From LatinoReview
we have the second poster for Dumb and Dumberer When Harry Met Lloyd
and from Joblo.com comes posters for
New
Suit and Levity.
Friday, April 11th, 2003
From Poster
Image Archive comes the great looking final one sheet for Pirates
of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.
Interested in movie press kits? Why not check out the
IMP's new Movie Press Kit Page.
Wednesday, April 9th, 2003
Joblo.com has the
new poster for The Italian Job, the remake of the 1969 Michael Caine
film, this time starring Mark Wahlberg, Charlize Theron, and Edward Norton.
Next there is Real Cancun, a "reality feature film". Most frightening.
Finally, DreamWorks
Fansite has the poster for the new animated film Sinbad: Legend
of the Seven Seas featuring the voices of Brad Pitt, Catherine Zeta-Jones,
Michelle Pfeiffer, and Joseph Fiennes.
Tuesday, April 8th, 2003
From Empire
Movies comes the poster for Owning Mahowny starring Philip Seymour
Hoffman and Minnie Driver.
Monday, April 7th, 2003
From Dark Horizons
comes two very cool posters to add to the growing mass of posters for The
Matrix: Reloaded. Gotta love the reflections in the sunglasses.
Saturday, April 5th, 2003
From the official
site comes the second one sheet for Pirates of the Caribbean.
Friday, April 4th, 2003
From Poster
Image Archive we have a teaser poster for S.W.A.T. starring
Samuel L. Jackson and Colin Farrell and from Empire
Movies we have the poster for Heath Ledger's The Order (originally
known as The Sin Eater). Also, two other posters: Hope Springs
starring Colin Firth, Minnie Driver, and Heather Graham and the frightening
fan-picked poster for the American Idol film
From Justin to Kelly.
Wednesday, April 2nd, 2003
Just in: a better quality version of the poster for Underworld.
It is also slightly altered from the original image which appeared back
in
February.
Tuesday, April 1st, 2003
The folks at Joblo.com
managed to get an early look at the international poster for Jim Carrey's
Bruce Almighty. Although the quality is not the best, the image is absolutely
hilarious. Also, we have posters for Al Pacino's People I Know and
Mark Ruffalo's xx / xy which appear to be finally getting limited
theatrical releases this month.
