ShortList Magazine: 50 Worst Movie Taglines Ever
This week's poster vote focuses on the films of director Sidney Lumet, who passed away over the weekend at the age of 86. He directed one of The IMP's favorite movies, Running on Empty, as well as such memorable films as 12 Angry Men, Fail-Safe, Serpico, Dog Day Afternoon, Network, and The Verdict. Check out the posters of all his films and choose your top 5 picks of the best artwork.
Last week's vote was for the best animated posters. There were many complaints about the picks we had for each film, with many people preferring the teaser posters or re-release posters. (There were also complaints that people seemed to be voting based on the films, not the posters.) As of the latest tally, The Nightmare Before Christmas leads the pack with 315 votes, followed closely by Toy Story 3 with 302 votes and The Lion King with 241 votes.
Just added a small look at the final one sheet for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides [thanks to Kino Gallery] Also, we have the new poster for Skateland.
From GordonandtheWhale comes the hilarious poster for How to Live Forever. Also, thanks to Kino Gallery and kinopoisk for two slightly different posters for Bridesmaids.
Thanks to Mike Markus for sending us an international poster for Honey 2. And continuing in the dance genre, thanks to WildAboutMovies for sending us the one sheet for Go For It!. We unfortunately missed showcasing it when it premiered at ComingSoon.net last week but a poster this bad simply can't slip by without being noticed. Based on the poster it is obviously a film about a girl being rescued by a magical levitating hoodie from her evil plastic surgeon who just botched her tummy tuck.
Just added the new Australian poster for Priest as well as the UK one sheet for Cedar Rapids. [Thanks to Mike Markus, Kino Gallery, kinopoisk, and kino-express]
From The Daily BLAM! comes the latest poster for Green Lantern. [Thanks to Kino Gallery for the heads up] Also, thanks to Jason for sending us the Insidious quad from Empire Online.
With Hop debuting this weekend we decided that it would be a good time to look at the posters for all the major US animated films over the years. Be warned, it's a BIG selection (150 posters in all), so you may have a hard time choosing just five from the bunch.
Last week we did a vote for the best posters from Elizabeth Taylor's career. The clear winner was Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (130 votes) followed by Cleopatra (90 votes) and The Driver's Seat (84 votes).

Thanks to the folks at Trailer Addict we have recently begun including movie trailers on the site. We are still tweaking things so feel free to offer any suggestions on how we might be able to improve it.
